Job Description *
Islabikes is looking to add a member to our team who will primarily serve as a workshop mechanic and provide customer service support as needed. Interest in bikes is a must, although that interest can range from enjoying a casual summer ride to the park or racing regularly. We’re passionate about the wellbeing of children and fully believe that getting children on quality bikes at a young age helps to create healthy and active lifestyles.
We are looking for a person who:
• Can multi-task and communicate effectively, thus building strong relationship with their colleagues,
• Values simplicity within working practices and processes to maintain efficiency,
• Is attentive to detail with an understanding of premium aesthetics,
• Focuses on delivering high standards with consistency,
• Is passionate about exceeding people’s expectations,
• And has an interest in cycling or a passion to learn more
We can offer you:
• $25-28K dependent on experience and paid as an hourly rate based on 37.5 hours per week,
• Full-time work, 9-5 Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays,
• An emphasis on humane working hours,

• 28 days paid holiday (including the holidays we are closed) as well as the option of an additional 10 days unpaid leave,

In addition to this we offer a 10-week, paid sabbatical after every 5 years of service. At Islabikes we want all our team members to take a break. We pay you for the whole ten weeks, providing the freedom to pursue something you wouldn’t normally have the time to do. Our aim is that you will return with a renewed, refreshed and revitalized attitude to work and life.
