We have been crushing on the bohemian situation happening down under lately, including the folksy/nomadic home of Jenni Booth. She is a busy freelance stylist that lives on the south coast of Sydney, just outside of the hustle of the city with her husband, 2 teenage daughters, dog, cat and 3 chickens!!
When searching to buy their home, being a lover of light – having lots of windows was a top priority. After 2 years of what felt like endless searching, they found a cute 60s cottage with original hopper windows that sing “Let the sun shine in”!!
In contrast to some of the high-end designer brands that she styles for, Jenni’s own home is filled with second-hand and vintage treasures from ‘council clean ups’ (Australian curbside pickup for bulk unwanted household items) and ‘op shops’ (a popular term for thrift stores in Australia and New Zealand). Her found-objects are mixed in with memory-filled treasures from the frequent trips her family takes (her husband works for an airline).

We love her folksy/nomadic bohemian home filled with eclectic eye candy that she has collected over the 20 years she has been travel and styling – a melange of boho, modern, retro and a bit of everything in between.
We are digging the headboard she made with Otomi fabric she brought home from a trip to Mexico – so good!
And her living room makes us want to kick off our huaraches and get comfy! To Jenni, a bohemian home is one that is “not adhering to a particular style or aesthetic just because it is ‘on trend’, but instead filling your home with collections of bits and pieces that map your life and travels. It is a home filled with reminders of your past adventures and happy times.”
Jenni shares our love of plants and is also an avid gardener – when she isn’t out on treasure hunts or styling you will find her digging in the dirt with her chickens or in her happy place out on the front verandah.
