Job Description *
The Communications & Marketing Manager is responsible for deepening connections with our community of supporters. This role will develop media and marketing strategies and expand our community by utilizing our website, the bike shop, social media, and print publications while working collaboratively with teams throughout the organization.

The successful candidate will:

• Have a passion for the Community Cycling Center’s mission, be goal- and detail- oriented, creative, and collaborative.

• Be an excellent communicator with experience in crafting strong messaging.

• Be highly resourceful and be able to leverage volunteer support and in-kind donations in lieu of a large marketing and advertising budget.

• Be knowledgeable about current nonprofit communications best practices.

• Experience supporting a fund development team or campaign experience.

• Know qualities of good design. Ability to communicate design goals with volunteers and be able to create designs.

• Have working knowledge of websites, email newsletters, social media, and blogs and be able to trouble-shoot technical kerfuffles.

• Have working knowledge of marketing philosophies and practices

• Have excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle and prioritize tasks and competing deadlines.

We are looking for a compelling storyteller who has a joyous and respectful relationship with Standard Written English. Telling stories about our work is the foundation of our fundraising and friend-raising strategies; the successful candidate will be able to tell compelling stories across different platforms (verbally, in print, and digitally).
