The one-year anniversary of the Women’s March is just a few days away. This time last year, American women from all over the country who participated in the Women’s March in Washington D.C. set a record for the largest protest in U.S. history! Here in LA, crowds were estimated at 750,000 and the mood was inspiration, uplifting, and grounding. It was such a humbling reminder of all the work past generations of women have done to get us to this moment and that we have the opportunity to carry the torch forward by doing our part to expand the definition of diversity and equality. The design industry is no exception. Female designers have been expanding the definition of design, pushing the envelope, and creating unexpected beautiful things for centuries.
