While it frequently is cloudy in England, it is always sunny in Betina Bianculli’s Norwich home. Europe by way of Argentina, she shares her boho home with her partner Joel and daughter Manuela. Betina’s many talents and experiences make for a eclectic mix of well used (and loved) objects – remnants of her photography and tourism studies fill their 1930’s home.
Most of her time is spent working in the Frida Florentina studio. It’s her sanctuary and is filled with bits and pieces of elements that she loves. Wood, baskets, vintage treasures and a happy plant family keep her inspired.
Among her treasures is a collection of mate cups and gourds. They are sentimental reminders of home. Many of them were gifts from friends and family.
Betina also finds inspiration in the art, culture and colour palettes of India, Mexico, Morocco and South America. Her favorite artists are Matisse, Picasso and Frida Kahlo.
For Betina, bohemianism is about leading an alternative lifestyle with a distinct sense of style, and an eclectic taste in music, fashion and art. A bohemian home is filled with life, culture – mixing textiles, colors, and texture without being afraid. Raising Manuela to be a tiny bohemian, her bedroom is colorful, patternful and pays homage to dear Frida.
