The holidays are upon us! It’s the time of year when people gather around the fireplace, drink hot cocoa, and put their cute holiday cards out on the mantle. Since the fireplace is getting a little more action these days, why not give it a little refresh? We love the idea of glamming up a fireplace for the holidays. Start with something festive like ornaments, stockings or twinkle lights. Then layer in some more grounding pieces like a brass pot to hold your firewood, and sprinkle in some planties or foliage to make it come alive! You can also level up your hearth by getting a colorful log holder or a pretty fireplace screen. But what about those of us who don’t have a fireplace or mantle but still want those cozy fireside vibes too?! A fun way to make a faux fireplace is to cluster a bunch of tall candles together (be sure to place something underneath them so you don’t get wax all over the floor!–also safety first! ;P), and add a floating shelf a a safe distance above the candle cluster to create a mantle.
