This Just In: Lorena Marañon

It’s no surprise that we love nature, color, and all things handmade here at Jungalow, so when we came across Lorena Marañon’s stunning jewelry, quilts, pillow and accessories, we were like: “mama mia, Maranoni!” Lorena’s work features nature-inspired patterns, bold color play, and hand-embroidered pieces. She constructs pieces for her brand, Maranoni, using experimental versions of traditional techniques – a beautiful marriage between ancient and modern artisanship. Lorena’s aesthetic is inspired by her Cuban background and world travels.

Lorena’s embroidered work features repeating, symmetrical patterns that remind us of the spiral of a seashell or the sacred geometry found in a succulent. Her nature-inspired designs are also eco-friendly. Maranoni pieces are made with sustainable fabrics that are either vintage or deadstock (extra fabric that went unused by the brand that manufactured it), creating beauty out of what would otherwise be discarded or forgotten.

Maranoni doesn’t just have goodies for your home, Lorena also makes jungalicious jewelry by hand. We’re really digging her Sapote earrings because you can’t go wrong with poms!

You can shop Maranoni here and follow Lorena’s work in progress, color and texture studies, and nature adventures on her Instagram.
